How to Get Free Logos Books and Other Swag

Want to see all the free Logos books you don’t already have?

Want to see what Logos books are on sale?

Want to see what’s cheap?

One of our users in the Logos forums recently shared with other users the links he uses to check all these things (and more) periodically on Logos.com. Here’s his full post. I’ll share with you a few of the highlights.

  1. Get the Free book of the Month. That’s right. And we’re talking good books—like the free book (free! book!) this month, Salvation Belongs to the Lord—a valuable volume by one of my favorite authors, John Frame.
  2. See all the free Logos books you don’t already own. A word of caution: don’t go on a free book “buying” spree. If you can’t read Finnish, skip Raamattu, despite the oh-so-tempting price of zero dollars. Get the books that might actually be useful, or your search results may get a bit clogged with things you don’t want to see. If all you have is Logos Basic, however, you’ll definitely want to pick up the SBLGNT, some free R.C. Sproul booklets, the ESV Hear the Word Audio Bible, the Faithlife Study Bible, and other great, free stuff.
  3. See what we’re promoting in our monthly sales. In other words, see what we hand-picked as interesting and worthwhile among all the other things that are on sale.
  4. See all the Logos resources on sale right now. There are some great Mobile Ed courses right now that are ridiculously inexpensive. And when I clicked the link I was surprised to see not just books but cool swag, like the ever popular Logos Cold Beverage Tumbler—a product I happen to know is used by some of the top theologians in my home.
  5. See the latest books added to Community Pricing. Click on the highest price you’d pay for a given book. If the final price is lower, that’s what you’ll pay.
  6. See all books currently on Pre-Pub. You don’t get to choose your price, but you do get a lower price than the eventual retail. Pre-Pub saved me several hundred dollars on a commentary set that really helped me in seminary.
  7. And for good measure, get the cheapest books on Vyrso, and see what’s on sale there.

This list, again, was supplied by a dedicated user of Logos. Many more interesting discussions (here’s one) and user tips can be found in the Logos forums. It’s a great place to go for answers to your questions—both because other users are likely to have had your question, and because knowledgeable MVPs spend a lot of time there answering those questions. You’ll even hear regularly from Bob Pritchett, Faithlife CEO. Bob’s not paying me to say this—I wrote this one sentence on my own time—but I don’t remember the last time I found one of Bob’s answers unpersuasive or unhelpful.

I can tell you: we listen. “The buzz on the forums. . .” is a common phrase I hear around the office.

So go get some free books.
